Maine’s Moose Peak Light Station where Don Ashby served as a lighthouse keeper for three years. Nick Salata took this photograph in 1982 just days before the historic keepers house was blown up in a demolition exercise. At that time the Maine State Historic Preservation gave it’s blessing to the destruction saying the house had no historical significance. Thus, another historic lighthouse landmark was allowed to be destroyed.
