Vassar Quimby is shown here with his wife Lucy Florence. Quimby served as a lighthouse keeper at a number of Maine lighthouses including Boon Island, Crabtree Ledge and Avery Rock. This image, and others, will appear in a book called "Lighthouses of the Sunrise County" by Tim Harrison. The book is expected to be available by late summer. However, Harrison is still hoping to locate additional photos of lighthouse keepers and any recorded information on their lives at the lighthouses to be included in the book.
