The people in the boat were taking a chance underneath the privy at Sharkfin Shoal Lighthouse in 1972. Perhaps they saw the keeper standing at the railing and knew the privy was not in use. The Sharkfin Shoal Lighthouse was established in 1892 and stood in the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland. It no longer stands. Back to the edition of: November 2008
