The Calvert Marine Museum recently hosted another successful annual Winter Lights Festival. Attendees were treated to numerous exhibits from various lighthouse groups, authors, and crafters at the popular museum in Solomons, Maryland. Visitors to the well attended festival also had the opportunity to hear a number of informative and entertaining presentations by lighthouse experts from around the country as well as tour the museum with its ever changing first class exhibits, including a tour of the meticulously restored Drum Point Lighthouse which is on the museum grounds. Throughout the day shuttle buses took attendees to the nearby Cove Point Lighthouse where they were allowed to tour the grounds and the keepers house.
