Comments?

Each year the National Christmas Tree that stands in the nations capitol is decorated with ornaments representing each state of the union. The state of Florida’s ornament this year will feature St. Augustine Lighthouse.

A limited number of the commorative ornaments, which are brass with color accents depicting the lighthouse within a ships wheel, will be available to the general public.

The ornaments will be sold at the Museum of Florida History in Tallahassee, at the St. Augustine Lighthouse Museum and at Collectables & Closeouts in St. Augustine.

The ornament will sell for $19.95 with two dollars from the sale of each ornament being donated to the September 11th Relief Fund. Kathy Fleming, St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum Director said, “We fel that at this time of the year when we all are thinking of family and home, we must reaxch out to those who have recently experienced such devastating tragedy.”
