This pair of antique brass binoculars was stolen from a display case at the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Visitor Center, Bayfield, Wisconsin, some time before March 25, 2002.

The binoculars date to the time of the Civil War, and carry engravings including the name of an early owner, “Preston C. Hudson, Adjutant, 85 Illinois Infantry.” The tubes are straight, and are about 6 inches in length.

A reward will be paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for this theft.
