It has been announced that the American Hockey League All-Sat Classic will be hosted in 2003 by Portland, Maine and played in the Cumberland County Civic Center, in Portland.

For the ninth year in a row, The American Hockey League All-Star Classic will also be televised across North America. Last years All-Star Classic was carried by ESPN2 in the United States and Rogers Sportsnet in Canada, reaching nearly 90 million households.

At a recent press conference, the logo for event was unveiled. It features the Portland Pirates team colors of red, silver and black and includes a likeness of Portland Head Lighthouse, Maine’s icon to the sea.

Interestingly enough, you may recall a team photo of the Portland Pirates in front of Portland Head Light in last month’s issue of Lighthouse Digest.
