STOP Section 1670 of HR.5569

Comments?

Below are just a few lighthouses that are owned and managed by nonprofit groups.

Congressman Walter Jones of North Carolina says that nonprofits are here today and gone tomorrow. Don’t you believe it!

Congressman Walter Jones and others say the local government agencies can do a better job of maintaining and restoring lighthouses, yet he was a firm supporter of the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act, yet now he is violating that same law he helped pass.

We say to Congressman Jones, “Politicians are also here today and gone tomorrow.”

Write your Congressman today and tell them that nonprofits are much better equipped to save lighthouses and do not let Congress violate the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act and ask them to stop Section 1670 of HR.5569.
