Race Point Light Solarization Project

Comments?

The Cape Cod Chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation is pleased to announce that Gerie Schumann of Harwichport, Massachusetts has won a two-night stay for herself and nine of her friends at the Race Point Lightshouse Keeper’s House

Congratulations Gerie!

Ms. Schumann is the first winner of two for overnight stays at the historic lighthouse. The Cape Cod Chapter’s solarization fundraising campaign began late last year and has raised nearly 30% of the needed $30,000 to solarize the station.

How can you be the next winner for an overnight stay at the lighthouse?

Any donation of $10 or more will get your name put into the drawing. And to make things more interesting, you will receive a chance for each $10 you donate. So, donate $10 get one chance, donate $100 and get 10 chances, or donate $2000 and you will get 200 chances to win that overnight stay. The Cape Cod Chapter of ALF was formed in 1995 for the sole purpose to preserve and restore the Race Point Lighthouse. Since that time they have also earned the responsiblity for two more Cape Cod lights, Wood End and Long Point lights. The Chapter has worked diligently for nearly ten years on the Race Point Lightstation. Taking the station from near ruins to the historically preserved keepers house, fog signal building, and tower that proudly guard the shores at the tip of the Cape.

Please make your tax deductible donation today!
