Shown here is Ronald Rosie at the recent Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival held in Alpena, Michigan showing an extremely rare watch he found in the sand many years ago at South Manitou Lighthouse. The reverse side of the pocket watch is engraved USLHE, which stands for United States Lighthouse Establishment. We hope that one day he will donate it to a lighthouse museum for proper display for all the public to enjoy.
