Courtney Nilosek, age 7, daughter of Lighthouse Depot employee Barbara Nilosek got the thrill of a lifetime when she recently met the “First Lady of Light,” Connie Small.

Connie, at 103, was out and about to visit with the Lighthouse Depot Bus Tour when it visited New Hampshire’s Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse where she and her husband were once lighthouse keepers.

Connie lived at a number of Maine lighthouses and wrote the best selling book, “The Lighthouse Keeper’s Wife. The book is available from Lighthouse Depot by calling
