When's the last time you used an ink blotter? Does anyone still use ink blotters?

Many years ago, in the age of fountain pens ink blotters proved to be a popular form of advertisement, because everyone used them.

This one came to us courtesy of Norman E. Jalbert, Jr. of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

It will now go on display in the vintage advertising section at the Museum of Lighthouse History in Wells, Maine.

If you come across old items like this we would encourage you to send them on to us so they can be published and then donated to the museum.
