The caisson style Borden Flats Lighthouse in the Tauton River in Mt. Hope Bay, in Fall River, Massachusetts has been declared excess property under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act.

This means that any qualified nonprofit or government agency may apply for ownership of the lighthouse.

The Braga Bridge (Rt. 195) passes close to the lighthouse and nearby is the famous Battleship Cove, one of New England’s largest maritime attractions.

The lighthouse is on the National Register of Historic Places. The lighthouse does not have any utilities or running water.
