Since the inception of the North Georgia Beacon Brigade, its members have participated in a number of fund raising events to help the restoration of endangered lighthouses. Recently, eight members of the club traveled to Georgia's Tybee Island Light Station where they presented a donation of $1,200 to Cullen Chambers, Executive Director of the Tybee Island Historical Society, to used toward the restoration of the nearby Cockspur Island Lighthouse.
