The lighthouse keepers of the 1800s could never have imagined a lighthouse of this style of architecture, which is futuristic even by today’s standards. At first glance this structure might remind one of a large PEZ candy dispenser.

Built in 1992, this 125-foot tall tower, located on the east side of La Palma Island in

the Canary Islands, is the Arenas Blancas Lighthouse.
