Shown here is the Somers Cove Lighthouse that once stood at the entrance to Little Annemessex River near Crisfield, Maryland. Built in 1867 the lighthouse was discontinued and demolished in 1932. However, as with many other lighthouses in this country, memories and photographs of the lighthouse keepers who served at the Somers Cove Lighthouse here for 65 years have remained elusive.

If any of our readers can help us locate information and photographs of the lighthouse keepers who served here, we would appreciate hearing from you at Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 250, East Machias, ME 04630 or via e-mail at Editor@LighthouseDigest.com

This story appeared in the June 2010 edition of Lighthouse Digest Magazine. The print edition contains more stories than our internet edition, and each story generally contains more photographs - often many more - in the print edition.
