Florida’s recent, first ever, ‘Forgotten Coast Lighthouse Challenge’, attended by hundreds, was rated a complete success by the Florida Lighthouse Association. Those who attended were rewarded with colorful tote bags and magnets of each lighthouse they visited. Those who visited all the lighthouses in the event received a Certificate of Completion and a button that said, “I Survived the Forgotten Coast Lighthouse Challenge.” Attending the event were Miss Emerald Coast Teen USA Cassie McFarland (l) and Miss Florida USA 2010 Megan Clementi. The beauty queens also climbed St. Marks, Crooked River, and Cape St. George Lighthouses and attended an after the event party that raised $1,500 for Cape St. George Lighthouse.
