What year was this photo taken? Where can we find out more information about these people? Shown is Captain William H. Barton, commanding officer of the lighthouse tender “Fern,” along with Lighthouse Service clerks Florence Tobin (l) and Tillie Dillon (r).
If anyone can help supply more information and additional photographs of these people, we’d love to hear from you. Interestingly, photographs of clerks of the U.S. Lighthouse Establishment or the U.S. Lighthouse Service are almost nonexistent.
