The original 4th order lens that had originally been in the Menominee Pier Lighthouse before it was moved into the Sand Point Lighthouse was removed from the tower and placed on display at the Delta County Historical Society’s new Dr. John Beaumier Museum. Lampist Kurt Fosbrg assisted in cleaning and reconditioning the old lens before it was installed at the museum in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The original pedestal was also cleaned and repainted through donations by local businesses.

After the old lens was removed from the tower, the new replica lens, which was purchased with funds from the Chet Royce Foundation, was then installed in the lantern of the lighthouse. (Photographs of new lens being installed courtesy Dan Spinella of Artworks-Florida.)
