Since 2103, Anna Garrity, who was the lighthouse keeper at Michigan’s Presque Isle Harbor Range Lighthouses from 1909 until her death in 1937, has been memorialized in a statue at the Old Presque Isle Lighthouse.

The lighthouses in the area near Alpena, Michigan are among the most visited lighthouses in Michigan, and nearly everyone who attends the annual Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival makes a pilgrimage to the Presque Isle Lighthouses.
