The town of Caswell Beach, North Carolina has given a $50,000 interest free loan to the Friends of Oak Island Lighthouse to be used toward their $100,000 restoration of the 155-foot tall lighthouse, which is the tallest concrete lighthouse in the continental United States of America. Restoration is expected to start on the lighthouse this October.
