This past September 14th a two-part 300th Anniversary Celebration of Boston Lighthouse was held in Boston, Massachusetts, first on the mainland at Long Wharf and then on Little Brewster Island in Boston Harbor where the lighthouse is located.

The 300th Anniversary was co-sponsored by the United States Coast Guard, the National Park Service, and Boston Harbor Now and was attended by a large number of dignitaries. Here are some photos of that historic event, which is today’s news and tomorrow’s history.
