Michael Tickman, whose favorite lighthouse is Sankaty Head Light on the island of Nantucket is positively a true lighthouse enthusiast.

When he and his wife, Christine, met with Margaret Keys of Creative Wedding Cakes in Vienna, Virginia they proposed a lighthouse wedding cake to her. At first she was unsure if a quality lighthouse cake could even be done. However, as they discussed the idea she became more and more excited about the prospect. As is shown, the end result was fantastic. Mrs. Margaret Key's husband went so far as to create a working beacon, that blinked every three seconds.

The cake was a huge hit and was the talk of the wedding reception. Michael says that people are still amazed when they see their wedding pictures. Michael went on to say, "It really was the icing on the cake for their special day." We couldn't agree more.
