Shown here is the new State of Michigan Lighthouse License Plate as proposed by Michigan's Secretary of State Candice S. Miller. The plate features the state's red and white striped White Shoals Lighthouse.

She emphasizes that this is only a prototype, since legislation for the specialty plate has not yet been passed.

Under Secretary of State Miller's license plate proposal, money raised from the sale of this automobile plate would be used for lighthouse preservation. If you live in Michigan, and like the idea, write to your state legislative representative in Lansing, or to Candice S. Miller, Secretary of State, Treasury Building, Lansing, MI 48918.
