Lighthouse Facsimile

This lighthouse facsimile located by Carolyn Ortiz is on top of a building which borders the Henry Hudson Parkway and Summit Avenue and 162nd St. in the Bronx New York a short distance from Yankee Stadium. Upon further investigation Carolyn found out that it is a printing company. Although you can't see it all from the street the lighthouse is standing on top an open book. The design which is the company's logo was meant to be seen from the air. This is truly one of the more unusual lighthouse facsimiles we have come across.

This story appeared in the February 1997 edition of Lighthouse Digest Magazine. The print edition contains more stories than our internet edition, and each story generally contains more photographs - often many more - in the print edition.
