The public access/visitors center at Maine's West Quoddy Lighthouse may soon be a reality thanks to a number of grants.

The West Quoddy Light Keepers Association has received the following grants.. $10,000 from the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation; $30,000 from the Libra Foundation of Portland, Maine; and $17,500 from the Elizabeth Noyes Foundation, also of Portland, Maine.

West Quoddy Light, located near Lubec, Maine is the eastern most lighthouse on the mainland of the United States.
