Michigan's Grand Traverse Lighthouse will soon have its historic fog horn back in place and in use.

The historic air diaphone foghorn has now been restored and was blown for the first time since it was silenced back in 1966. However, the equipment used to actually activate the foghorn was borrowed and the museum still needs to raise several thousand dollars to complete the foghorn and foghorn building restoration.
