Location: Mouth of Root River, Lake Michigan.

Notes:
The Root River Light was replaced in 1866 by the Racine Harbor Light, located about 1/2 mile away. The tower and dwelling were sold in 1870, then demolished in 1876.

Description of Tower: Conical brick tower with a detached keeper's dwelling.

This light is not operational

Date Established: 1839

Date Deactivated: 1865

Current Use: Destroyed.
