Notes:
The statue close to this light is known as "Tangaroa," which in Maori means "God of the Sea." The statue was erected to celebrate the continued development of the Port of Tauranga.  It was commissioned by Sir Robert Owens, businessman and local politician.

Characteristic and Range: Two quick green flashes every 3 seconds.

Description of Tower: Light on post with red rectangular daymark.

This light is operational

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.
