Notes: At the end of August every year, the festivities of the Romería Montañesa del Faro (Pilgrimage to the Lighthouse) are celebrated around this lighthouse. Prisoners were thrown from the cliffs here to their deaths during the Spanish Civil War, and there is a monument commemorating this near the lighthouse. Tower Height: 98 Height of Focal Plane: 291 Characteristic and Range: Two white flashes every 10 seconds, range 21 nautical miles. Description of Tower: Round stone tower, lower part octagonal; built on keeper's dwelling; lantern roof painted green.
