A visitor to this site, N. Hunt, writes: "This lighthouse is at the end of the lighthouse trailhead, approximately two miles from the lake. Walkers will want to wear sturdy shoes because the trail has a lot of ups and downs and goes thru some rough areas which require climbing over downed trees. We were in sandals, and never did make it to the lighthouse because we were unaware of this trail, and thought we could drive to the lighthouse."
