Notes:
This station had female keepers for much of its history. Fanny May Salter was the last civilian woman lighthouse keeper in the U.S. The keeper's house at this station was destroyed in 1971. The nonprofit organization Turkey Point Light Station Inc., plans to reconstruct the dwelling. The lighthouse was deactivated by the Coast Guard in 2000, but it was relighted as a private aid on November 30, 2002.

Directions:
The park and lighthouse are in Cecil County, 10 miles south of the town of North East on MD 272. The lighthouse is accessible via a 25-minute walk on a hiking path in the park.
