After Ellie left in 1949, her marriage to Manny came to an end. In 1952, her family built her a house on the homestead, and she had a long-term relationship with Ken Miller for the next 30 years until his death in 1985. Ellie (Elsie) Hilden Resendes died December 9, 2005 and is resting beside Ken in the Rosendale Cemetery in Tillson, Ulster County, New York. Back to the edition of: Sep/Oct 2019
