It is sometimes hard for us to imagine what it must have been like for some lighthouse keepers in the winter months. Although many lighthouses on the Great Lakes closed for the winter when the shipping season stopped there were those early or late winter storms that made life miserable for many lighthouse keepers. We've sharing a few winter photos for you to be thankful for the warm weather.
